We will have an in-person camp for Metro Atlanta students during the week of 7/24-27 in the Duluth area.

Goal and Benefit for students: after collaborating in New York in June, Xiao and Matan (coaches) realized the massive opportunity to help students in Atlanta.

The camp will specifically help students train and get ready for USCF rating improvement.

  • One student from the NY camp raised his rating over 100 points in the U1800 section at World Open after a full week of chess immersion

While in New York, Xiao and Matan talked for days on the best practices on teaching methods. We also refined the integration of Steps Method learning with Practical experiences to help student gain more confidence and get ready for tournament rating gains.

  2. New tournament players (300-1000 USCF regular rating): 6 students
